Christmas India 2011
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We went to a church party Christmas Eve with our fellow Indian Saints and for church Christmas morning. After which we over-indulged ourselves on the Leela Hotel's Christmas Buffet! After a long winter's nap, we sat back and enjoyed watching our children and grandchildren open presents half way around the world via the XBox Kinect! Thank Heaven for modern technology! It was almost all the fun without the clean-up. We miss being home for Christmas and vowed we would NOT be next year!
Here's a video from one of the nights we went caroling:
And some random Christmas photos:
Decorating Christmas Cookies with the YMYW
Scary Santa Mask
Our Caroling Gang!
Holy Cow!
Fancy Christmas Dress
One of Santa's India Elfs
Our Leela Family fed us well on Christmas Day
XBox Kinect Christmas with the grandbabies!
Our Christmas Present from our Driver, Brij

The electronic age certainly makes being a few thousand miles away more bearable when it comes to holidays, births, etc. Thanks for sharing your Indian Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYou must someday make a book of your comings and goings because it will be hilariously interesting. Glad you have a great voice to make the caroling exceptional as you endured the ride, walk, and run to the saints home. What fun to share this time with you and Joel. Keep posting. I believe it tells you when you have blogged if you push something....so much for my knowledge. So please let us know when you do. Love you and a very Happy India Year!
